New Zealand Cancer Action Plan 2019–2029
Overview
Tēnā koutou katoa,
We are seeking your feedback on the New Zealand Cancer Action Plan 2019–2029 (PDF, 1.5 MB) (the Plan).
The Ministry of Health has engaged with a number of cancer-sector stakeholders in the development of the Plan.
The following questions about the Plan are designed to help you prepare your feedback. Not all areas of the Plan will be included in the questions as:
- the Ministry will or has already engaged some sections through a separate process
- the action is already underway and engagement is not needed
- we are consulting some sections in other ways.
What feedback are we seeking?
We will be using the feedback to inform the final plan. We would like to know:
- if you think the plan includes the right actions to improve cancer outcomes in New Zealand
- if you have feedback on any other cancer areas that need to be considered.
Who are we seeking feedback from?
We are seeking feedback from all New Zealanders, particularly people who are affected by cancer and their family/whānau, and all those involved in cancer from prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment and care after treatment.
How can you provide feedback?
You can provide feedback via the Ministry of Health consultation hub using the online survey. You can also print out the form below and email this to cancerplan2019@health.govt.nz or post it to The Cancer Team, Ministry of Health, PO Box 5013, Wellington 6140.
When do we need feedback by?
Please provide your feedback and comments about the plan by 13 October 2019
Please note, you do not have to answer all the questions.
Please include or cite relevant supporting evidence in your submission, if you can.
You are also welcome to provide any other feedback on the plan (refer to question 21).
