Section 5: Te Kaupare Pokenga me te Kaitiakitanga patu Huakita – Infection Prevention and Antimicrobial Stewardship
Outcome: Health and disability service providers’ infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship strategies define a clear vision and purpose, with quality of care, welfare, and safety at the centre. The programmes are up to date and informed by evidence and are an expression of a strategy that seeks to maximise quality of care and minimise infection risk and adverse effects from antibiotic use, such as antimicrobial resistance.
