Analysing access to interRAI (NASC) assessment
Overview
This consultation seeks information from Needs Assessment Service Coordination (NASC) settings regarding referrals for interRAI/NASC assessment for older people (>65).
This will assist the Ministry of Health in responding to the interRAI Service Design recommendations.

Why your views matter
This work is a component of the larger workstream of the interRAI Service Design.
Specifically, it relates to the Horizon 2, recommendation 3 of “Improving access to interRAI assessment”.
Responding to this recommendation has been mandated by the Director General of Health.
Achieving equity of access is integral to implementation of this recommendation.
This consultation will assist in quantifying current equity of access and assist in establishing metrics to track progress with the broader work of the interRAI Service Design.
We would be grateful if you could complete the attached survey by Friday 27 August 2021.
The survey consists of 9 questions relating to FTE and other aspects of referrals to NASC.
What happens next
This information will be proccessed by the Ministry of Health, in combincation with other population data, to establish current access to interRAI (NASC) assessments.
This information will help guide the Ministry as it implements recommendations from the interRAI Service Design.
