Pacific Provider Development Fund Commissioning Framework
Overview
The Ministry of Health is seeking your views on the process, and its associated documents, developed for the Pacific Provider Development Funds (PPDF) from 2021/22.
The process follows on the recommendations from the review of PPDF conducted in 2018. A full copy of the PPDF review can be accessed at Review of the Ministry of Health Pacific Provider Development Fund 2018.
In line with the recommendations from the Review, the Ministry wants to develop a process to distribute PPDF that:
- is fair and transparent
- is flexible
- meets the needs of Pacific health providers
- will benefit Pacific communities receiving health services
- is high trust
- is long term.
You can provide feedback in one of two ways.
1. Online consultation
With this online consultation, you can complete your submission over a number of sessions and save it as you go.
If you select the ‘Save and come back later’ button at the bottom of any question page, you will receive an email with a unique link that will let you return to edit and submit your response. You can share this link with your friends or colleagues if you need them to contribute to or review the submission. Once you have completed your submission, you will be sent a PDF copy for your records.

2. Word document template
You can also submit your feedback by downloading and completing the Submission form (Word, 51 KB). Send the completed template to PPDFconsultation@health.govt.nz.
The closing date for submissions is 9 April 2021.
The layout of this consultation
This consultation document consists of the following documents:

- Tiering tool (Excel, 18 KB)
Each document will be utilised as part of the PPDF application process.
