Workforce Survey July - End of Life Choice Act
Overview
Thank you for agreeing to participate in this End of Life Choice Act Implementation workforce survey.
The Ministry has responsibility for implementation of the End of Life Choice Act 2019, which comes into force on 7 November 2021.
The Act gives people who experience unbearable suffering from a terminal illness and who meet all criteria in the Act, the option of asking for medical assistance to end their lives.
One of our ongoing priorities is to understand the views of the workforce regarding the Act and the introduction of assisted dying. This short survey will help to inform training and guidance and workforce preparedness for an assisted dying service in New Zealand.
The information you provide to us in your response will not be identifiable. We will publish the anonymised results of this survey on our website as part of ensuring a transparent process in implementing the Act.
Any questions regarding the survey can be directed to EOLC@health.govt.nz.
