Opened 23 Aug 2019

Overview

He Korowai Oranga: the Māori Health Strategy sets the overarching framework to guide the Government and the health and disability sector’s contribution to achieving the best health outcomes for Māori, with the central aim of Pae ora (healthy futures for Māori).

The Ministry of Health is working with Māori and the health and disability sector to develop a Māori Health Action Plan to support and further embed He Korowai Oranga, with a five-year outlook. This will be an important tool ensuring the health and disability sector is working collaboratively to deliver high-quality and effective services that support Māori health and wellbeing.
